No! We welcome all community causes: registered nonprofits, churches, schools, sports teams, neighborhood groups, and grassroots organizations. If you serve your local community and people care about your cause, you can sign up.

That's okay. Many grassroots groups don't have EINs. We collect publicly available information when possible. For groups without EINs, we'll work with you to verify your community role. If you receive over $600/year, we'll need tax information at that point, but you can start receiving smaller amounts right away.

Your cause is listed in a searchable directory in SmallGyfts. Customers can search by name, category, or location. That's why it's important to add clear information about what your cause does and who you serve. This helps supporters find and choose you.

Absolutely! You receive a link you can share with your supporters so they can signup and select your cause as their favorite. You can let your community know: "When you do business with SmallGyfts partners, you can direct referral rewards to support us. Look for our name in the directory!" Some organizations mention this in newsletters, at meetings, or on social media.

No, the money comes from the business's marketing budget, not the customer's pocket. Customers simply choose which cause receives it. Think of it as customers directing where business marketing dollars go so they go to your cause instead of outside of the community. However, some may elect to give directly to your cause using their own money.

SmallGyfts automatically transfers the reward amount from the business account to your cause account. You can monitor your dashboard to see all activity. When your balance reaches $100, we process a payment to you. You don't have to do anything, it's automatic. You can elect how you want to receive the funds, i.e., via ACH or bank checks.
